John - glad to see you trying a blog here, and hope it continues.
I think people in the sector will in future see the benefit of using newsreaders as more and more sites offer RSS feeds.
The benefit for you - I think - is that other bloggers will find it easier to quote anything you write - because with the right newsreader and blog client that becomes as easy as replying to an email.
