16th January 2007, 3:30 pm

Northern Ireland’s smoking ban comes in from 30th April, when it will be “against the law to smoke in enclosed and substantially enclosed workplaces and public places, and in certain vehicles”. The dedicated web site is at http://www.spacetobreathe.org.uk, although the regulations are still being finalised.

For completeness: for Scotland’s ban, already in place, see http://www.clearingtheairscotland.com; ban in effect in Wales from 2nd April, http://www.smokingbanwales.co.uk; England’s version starts on 1st July, see http://www.smokefreeengland.co.uk.
