Changing names

1st June 2007, 4:45 pm

The charity National Playing Fields Association has changed its working name to Fields in Trust (FIT) to reflect the fact that its work has expanded to protecting and improving recreation areas like kids playgrounds and leisure areas for older people, not just community playing fields. The new web site address is http://www.fieldsintrust.org. (Source: Fundraising UK)

The Northern Ireland body for chief executives, previously known as Association of Chief Officers of Voluntary Organisations, has re-launched as CO3 - Chief Officers Third Sector. Their web site is yet to appear, but there are some details on CommunityNI, including a phone contact.

The Charities’ Tax Reform Group has become the Charity Tax Group, as it is not just a lobbying body but also provides advice on tax issues. http://www.ctrg.org.uk. (Source: Third Sector)
