New criminal disclosure arrangements in N Ireland
4th December 2007, 10:16 am
Access Northern Ireland (ANI) is a new criminal history disclosure service replacing PoCVA and CRO from 1st April 2008. Organisations working with children or vulnerable adults which will need to use ANI can register from 1st December. As elsewhere in the UK, there will be a charge to cover costs, of £30 for each check, but volunteers working with voluntary organisations will be exempt from this.
More details of the changes, and of a NICVA briefing session on 17th December, on Community NI at http://www.communityni.org/index.cfm/section/news/key/access_ni_briefing_disclosure.
