The Big Green Challenge award aims to encourage change and innovation, by challenging voluntary organisations and communities (of any type) to reduce CO2 emissions by 60%. There is a prize fund of £1 million. Entries by 29th February - http://www.biggreenchallenge.org.uk.
Co-operation Ireland runs a small grants programme for cross-border projects from youth groups and community groups which focus on mutual benefit; peace & reconciliation; and diversity. A grants programme for grass roots organisations working across all areas of equality has been launched by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, with an application deadline of 4th February.
