Ensuring Successful Negotiations
| 2 October, 2008 |
Negotiating is often the difference between organisations being successful or not!
How well does your organisation negotiate?
Do managers understand the vital elements of good negotiating?
Despite the importance of negotiating, many third sector managers walk away from negotiations with a sinking feeling that perhaps they could have done better? Negotiation is something that we all do everyday. Despite this, many people struggle to master the basics. This can be coupled with the feeling that third sector organisations have only a limited room to negotiate with often more powerful adversaries!!
For anybody working in the third sector, negotiation skills are a vital prerequisite for success. Despite the importance of negotiation skills, many find the experience of negotiating fraught, painful and leaving a feeling of dissatisfaction!
This one day course seeks to provide you with the practical skills, a pragmatic model and knowledge to conduct successful negotiations. The course is based on principles outlined in ACEVO “Win-Win” guide and in association the big lottery fund this workshop is coupled with practical tips and skills to ensure you will succeed.
The course itself is highly interactive and will give you the opportunity to relate the principles and skills to your own organisation.
Can your organisation afford not to be good negotiators?
