Launch of acevo inYorkshire and Humberside

24 October, 2008
12:00 pmto3:00 pm

The Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (acevo) is expanding its CEO network in the northern regions.  acevo recently established an office in Leeds as a base to expand its network and activities in the north of
England. We are committed to strengthen in third sector leadership in the North West, North East and Yorkshire and
Humber.

Our Director of acevo north, Jenny Berry (previously CEO of the Community Transport Association) has got off to a flying start with an exciting programme of events underway. We plan to deliver a programme of training and networking events which tackle the key concerns in the regions.

Over the next three years we will be delivering training on key issues such as procurement, governance and performance management and connecting third sector leaders with political stakeholders locally, regionally and nationally.

We understand the third sector can make an invaluable contribution to local communities and to the growth and regeneration of your constituent’s region as a whole. We are committed to support the sector and find a voice for the sector from leaders in the region your support and to hear your thoughts on how this can be achieved would be invaluable in achieving a modern and enterprising third sector in Yorkshire and Humberside.
