Turning favours into youth volunteering

7th October 2008, 1:30 pm

A campaign titled Favours, from youth volunteering organisation v, aims to transform the face of volunteering among 16 to 25year-olds whilst making it accessible and a natural lifestyle choice.

The campaign web site is at http://www.vinspired.com/, news item at http://www.wearev.com/index.php or see Society Guardian piece at http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/sep/25/youth.volunteering.

  1. Sara Says:

I thought a Favour was something you did for a friend or maybe done with an expectation of a Favour back in return. Volunteering is about giving some of your time and energy to others without expectation and without prejudice or favouritism.

Seems v would rather change the definition of volunteering than change the attitudes of young people toward it.
