Many blogs provide an RSS feed somewhere - ones of interest to voluntary organisations which don’t quite count as news sites are on CharityBlog, along with blogs from charities etc. You can also find there a ‘blog pool’ streaming the feeds from the more newsy charity blogs (experimental feature at July 07).
